I feel like I’ve been neglecting Spain with the posts today. They played well and showed a whole lot of heart (especially Pau). Really, they out played Team USA 3 out of 4 quarters, but just couldn’t finish. Spain should be proud of their performance these Olympics. Those uniforms however, that’s worth crying over.
USA Basketball is cool, but it’ll all about Track & Field today. Kobe and Harden know what’s up. Will Usain Bolt win the 100m Gold again?

One of the best things about the Olympics (for me personally) is seeing all the new gear athletic companies like Nike and Adidas pump out to coincide with the games. If the new Team USA Basketball jerseys, t-shirts, RED, WHITE and BLUE signature sneaker color ways, and hats weren’t enough, Nike has also created limited designs that you’ll likely only see at the Olympic games on your country’s favorite athletes.
Nikes NSW department provided a small group of independent athletes (who compete without country due to “political transitions”) with a special “IOA” apparel and footwear collection. Above is a picture of the custom shoes they will be wearing; Nikes latest Flyknit Trainer+ running shoes. You can see the IOA initials on the tongue below the Olympic rings. No word on if these will be released in stores, but I’d love to get my hands on a pair somehow.
